Interaction 

To drive conversion and interaction on Studio Wednesday’s website, I focused on the work which Studio Wednesday provides: voice-over and written content. Strategically choosing to create micro-interactions that direct users to different levels of audio snippets, all the way to the guiding structure which was intentionally set up for the user to interact with as if it were a story coming to life. 

Design

Through a branding session, we pinpointed Studio Wednesday’s strategic foundation. Borrowing from the fundamental objects of her studio, the owner of Studio Wednesday made it clear that without her black velvet curtains and foam, her voice-over work would not be possible. Aside from tying together the velvet-wrapped voice with material elements from the studio, which was bringing stories to life, the design followed the strategic branding of Studio Wednesday. Creating a focus on the content, and emphasizing the work that is offered. 

Direction

From the strategy session, we uncovered the goals of Studio Wednesday and what the creator wanted to emote to her audience. Translating these into each aspect of the website and branding was key to ensuring that the main ambitions were always maintained to the end. One example of this story coming to life is the use of pulsing hues on the website, each color was specifically chosen for its connected meaning and feeling it conveys to the audience. 

Development

As Studio Wednesday was just starting from the ground up, it was pivotal that we worked together through the process of developing the brand and digital infrastructure alike. One crucial aspect during this process was bringing the owner along on this journey with me and educating her on the tools and processes, enabling her to keep moving forward with this digital solution and sustain it long-term as a small business.
